The Humble Forge
What it is, who it's for, and how it works.
Stoic coaching is a one-on-one coaching approach grounded in Stoic philosophy, the practical wisdom of Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, and Epictetus. It is not therapy. It is not motivational speaking. It is a structured process for helping young men develop a personal framework for how they think, decide, and act, one that holds regardless of what circumstances they are in. The Humble Forge uses Stoic philosophy as the operating system for building identity, discipline, and direction.
Young men between 18 and 24 who feel like life is happening to them instead of for them. That might look like graduating and feeling nothing. It might look like working a job that pays the bills but means nothing. It might look like having everything together on the outside and feeling hollow on the inside. The common thread is a young man who is done drifting and wants to build something that actually holds. Not sure that's you? Take the Forge Score assessment.
The individual coaching program runs 90 days. It includes six one-on-one sessions with Kyle Loftin, one every two weeks, a personalized Stoic reading plan, a weekly reflection guide written specifically for where you are that week, and direct access to Kyle between sessions. A 12-session weekly premium tier is also available. The program is built around three outcomes: a clear personal identity framework, a decision-making structure you can use for the rest of your life, and the discipline habits to back it up.
No. Most clients come in with little to no background. The reading plan starts with accessible entry points and builds from there. The goal is not to make you a philosopher. The goal is to give you a working framework you can actually use.
Individual coaching runs $750 a month for the 6-session biweekly program, or $2,250 paid in full with no discount, all six books on the reading roadmap ship to you at the start. A 12-session weekly premium tier is also available. Organizational cohort partnerships for groups of six young men through JROTC programs, athletic organizations, or community groups are priced based on fit and scope. Therapy is clinical and treats the past. Coaching is forward-facing and builds for the future. The Humble Forge does not diagnose, treat, or address mental health conditions. If you are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or other clinical issues, a licensed therapist is the right starting point. What The Humble Forge does is help young men who are mentally healthy but directionless: men who need structure, accountability, and a clear framework for how to operate.
Most coaching is built on motivation. A feeling that fades. The Humble Forge is built on a philosophy that has been stress-tested across two thousand years of hard circumstances. Marcus Aurelius ran an empire through plague, war, and betrayal using the same principles. The work is not about how you feel during a session. It is about who you are between them.
Most coaching that fails does so because it gives people motivation without structure. The Humble Forge does not tell you how to feel. It gives you a way of operating, and it holds when the feelings pass. If you have done the work before and walked away with nothing to show for it, that is worth a conversation.
The program is built for that specific window because it is the most critical inflection point in a young man's development. That said, the principles do not have an expiration date. If you are outside that range and feel like the work is a fit for where you are, reach out. Kyle will give you a straight answer on whether it makes sense.
